Our most requested chaise longue pool chair for hotels

Lately, there seems to be a trend for a particular outdoor poolside chaise lounge we sell called the Swing Teak. We’ve now had many orders for hotel projects, as well as beach clubs, from Florida to Dubai, which prompted me to write a little blog post about this sun lounger and why it’s so popular among designers.

Designers of resort projects are looking for something that has luxury, quality and comfort in mind; practicality is also of great concern.

The advantage of these chairs for stowing purposes is that they are stackable (winter storage and easy stowing for hurricane preparations or pool deck maintenance come to mind).

These important arguments apply as well to homeowners.

This chic Italian designed chaise-longue is beautifully handcrafted of curved teak slats that give it an elegant look. It is made of the highest quality solid teak. Optional accessories are headrest cushions with removable covers and a stainless steel support to raise it from the ground; but frankly I’ve not sold many of those. They are mainly ordered for shallow water seating.

I personally find these chairs easy to maintain and their longevity, as well as the esthetics and functionality are sublime.

All teak furniture is made for life outdoors without the need for any particular maintenance. The wood surface is rich in oily resin which oxidizes when it comes in contact with the air, protecting the inner wood and giving the furniture a beautiful grey-silver hue. Should you wish to go back to the original color, suffice to wash and dry the piece and rub it with a cloth soaked in a few drops of teak oil.
